Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3489672
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile-raised knitted fabric suitable as a lightweight fleece rich in bulkiness and excellent in windproofness and thermal insulation.
SOLUTION: The subject method for producing a pile-raised knitted fabric composed of pile section and ground section comprises the following practice: multifilaments or spun yarns of high boiling water shrinkage are arranged so as to correspond to the ground section, while fibers of low boiling water shrinkage are arranged so as to correspond to the pile section, and a knitting operation is made, and then the resultant knitted fabric is heat-treated to obtain the objective windproof pile-raised knitted fabric with an air permeability of ≤70 cc/cm2/s.
