Abstract:

To provide a method for reaction control of an exothermic reaction capable of suppressing a runaway reaction, eliminating the need for operation stop and cleaning of a reactor, and also avoiding contamination in the reactor by addition of a foreign substance outside the reaction.

The method includes the steps of: (A) carrying out the exothermic reaction in the reactor; (B) measuring temperature and/or pressure in the reactor; and (C) introducing inert product already produced previously in the exothermic reaction when temperature and/or pressure exceeds a threshold value from a storage container into the reactor.
