Abstract:
To provide a mass spectrometer that reduces a relatively high electric charge state in an ETD product ion or an ETD fragment ion.
In a mass spectrometer, an electric charge state of a fragment ion that is generated by an electron transfer dissociation fragmentation of a parent ion and has high electric charge is reduced in a proton transfer reaction cell by causing the fragment ion to react with neutral ultra-strong base reagent gas such as octahydro-pyrimido-azepine.
