PURPOSE: To raise the efficiency of dredging operation by a method providing a main spud at the stern and an auxiliary spud at the bow are alternately driving into the seabed and the main spud is moved in the direction of right angle to a dredging direction to transfer it in the dredging area.
CONSTITUTION: A main spud 3 is driven from the stern 2 of the hull into the seabed, and the bow 4 is turned around the spud 3 to dredge the ground in front of the bow 4. The main spud 3 is advanced while being shifted and switched in several stages, and the front area of the bow 4 is dredged. An auxiliary spud 20 is driven into the seabed on the bow 4 side, and the main spud 3 is drawn out. The stern 2 is turned to new dredging area B side, and the main spud 3 is again driven. The spud 20 is further drawn out and the dredging area B is dredged.
