PURPOSE: To incinerate the volatile component such as condensation water generated from the reactor during the polycondensation reaction of a synthetic resin, in high thermal efficiency, without using additional fuel, by emulsifying condensed volatile component in a combustible waste solvent, etc., and burning in the form of mist.
CONSTITUTION: Volatile component such as condensation water, solvent, monomer, etc. generated from the reactor 1 during the polycondensation of a synthetic resin, is condensed in a condenser attached to the reactor 1, and the non-condensing exhaust is introduced together with combustion air into the incinerator 10; The solvent and monomer consituting the major part of the condensed liquid are separated from the liquid, if necessary, and recycled to the reactor 1. The condensed liquid is mixed and emulsified with a combustible substance composed mainly of waste solvent such as waste washing solvent of the reactor 1 or a waste paint in the presence of an emulsifier. The emulsion is sprayed in the incinerator 10 and incinerated. By this process, the volatile component such as condensation water generated during the polycondensation of a synthetic resin, can be treated.
