Abstract:
PURPOSE:To decrease the influence of the deterioration of a high-hardness surface protective layer by ozone so that the durability and the moisture resistance after printing are improved by using an org. photosensitive body having >=H pencil hardness on the surface while chipping the same at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The org. photosensitive body having >=H pencil hardness on the surface is used while said body is chipped at a ratio of 7-200Angstrom per actual copying of 10,000 sheets. Namely, this method is effective for using of the photosensitive body having the org. photosensitive layer and the surface protective layer having >=H surface hardness expressed in terms of pencil hardness on a conductive substrate. The photosensitive layer is constituted by providing the org. photosensitive layer which itself is known on the conductive substrate. The constitution of the photosensitive layer may be the separated function type constitution laminated with an electric charge generating and charge transfer layer and may be the binder type constitution formed by dispersing an electric charge generating material and charge transfer material in a binder or may be constitutions besides these constitutions. Problems of durability and deterioration by ozone are thereby solved and the initial photosensitive characteristics are maintained over a long period of time.
