Abstract:
To determine synapse formation, for example, synapse formation related to activity of multispecific antibodies such as T cell-dependent bispecific antibodies.SOLUTION: A method for detecting the ability of inducing cell synapse formation in a population of CD3-expressing CD4+T cells and tumor antigen-expressing cells or cell synapse formation in a population of CD3-expressing CD4+T cells and tumor antigen-expressing cells of multi-specific antibodies includes: (a) bringing multi-specific antibodies connectable to CD3 and tumor antigens into contact with the CD3-expressing CD4+T cells and tumor antigen-expressing cells, wherein cell synapse is formed between T cells and tumor antigen-expressing cells when the multi-specific antibodies are connected to the CD3 and tumor antigen; and (b) measuring expression of CD62L on the T cells, indicating that the expression of the CD62L on the T cells can induce cell synapse formation or the multi-specific antibodies can induce cell synapse formation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
