The microbicidal composition comprises 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and imazalil or a salt thereof in the weight ratio of the former to the latter of (1:100) to (10:1). The coatings, inks, resin emulsions, metal machining oils and moistening water, each containing the composition, are also provided, respectively.
