Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a perindopril with the need of neither use of any protecting group nor the step of separating the stereoisomer.

The method for producing a perindopril of the formula(I)(wherein, Ra is H or a 1-4C alkyl; Rb is a 1-4C alkyl; Rc is a 1-9C alkyl; and Rd is H or a protecting group) or a derivative thereof comprises carrying out a reaction between a compound(IV) and a compound(V).
