Abstract:
The present invention relates to an auto focus apparatus and a microscope that can improve the observation environment in a microscope. An reference light emitted from an LED for auto focus 61 enters a glass cover, on which a sample is adhered to, via a half mirror 134 to an objective lens 23. The reference light that entered the glass cover is reflected by the boundary surface S to be reflected light, and this reflected light enters a dichroic mirror 63 via an objective lens 23. A part of the reflected light is transmitted through the dichroic mirror 63 and enters a filter 65, and the filter 65 transmits the reflected light and allows the light to enter the camera 27 via the dichroic mirror 191 to the lens 69. A user rotates a motor-operated mirror 135 while viewing the image of the reference light captured by a camera 27, so as to shift the reference light image position on the boundary surface S. The present invention can be applied to a microscope.
