A loom-controlling computor C0 reads a pile fabric pattern from a pile-weaving pattern apparatus 18 while the weaving is stopping and determines the kind of weft in the waiting weft- insertion state: that is a fast-pick weft, the first loose-pick weft or the second loose-pick weft. When the weft-insertion waiting state is not waiting the first loose-pick weft, the loom-controlling computor C0 invalidates the starting signal set by a starting switch 45 turned on.
