Title:
DEODORIZING DEVICE FOR REFRIGERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3150592
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a deodorizing device for a refrigerator at low cost without deteriorating defrosting performance due to a glass tube heater for defrosting by arranging a deodorant made of adsorption thermal decomposition catalyst on a surface of a glass tube of the glass tube heater for defrosting, excepting a specified area.
SOLUTION: Deodorant 20 is applied onto a surface a central portion of a glass tube 13 and the deodorant 20 is not applied onto specified ranges starting from caps 14, e.g. ranges of not less than 50mm in length, at both ends of the glass tube 13. Heat from a heater wire 13 is radiated without striking the deodorant 20 in portions on which the deodorant 20 is not applied. As a result, heat for defrosting can be effectively secured and the heater wire 12 is prevented from being easily broken by preventing the heat from being stuffed within the glass tube 13.
