Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene resin composition capable of dramatically improving wear resistance of various resins.SOLUTION: A modified polyethylene resin composition is provided, having the following characteristics: (a) the composition has a sea-island structure in which the number of an island phase having a major axis particle diameter of 100 μm or more in a 300 μmview field of an optical microscope is 1 or less; (b) the number of an island phase having a major axis particle diameter of 30 μm or more and less than 100 μm is 3 or less; (c) the number of an island phase having a major axis particle dimeter of 10 μm or more and less than 30 μm is 4 or more; (d) the composition shows an intrinsic viscosity [η] of 1.5 to 15 dL/g in decalin at 135°C; (e) the composition contains a structural unit including a functional group selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group, an amino group, a hydroxyl group and a silanol group, by 0.01 to 10 mass%; and (f) a ratio (IRS/IRI) of an intensity ratio (IRS) of a peak of the above functional group to a CHgroup peak in IR of the sea phase to an intensity ratio (IRI) of the above peaks in IR in the island phase exceeds 1.0.SELECTED DRAWING: None
