Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material which is based on a readily processable and impact resistant partially aromatic polyamide having a high melting point and which has high elongation at break and retains its advantageous mechanical properties even after relatively prolonged use at high temperature.SOLUTION: The molding material contains at least 40 mass% of a) 60 to 99 pts.mass of partially aromatic copolyamide based on hexamethylene diamine, terephthalic acid and aliphatic carboxylic acid having 8 to 19 carbon atoms and b) 40 to 1 pts.mass of an olefinic copolymer containing monomer units based on ethene, based on 1-alkene having 4 to 8 carbon atoms, based on aliphatic unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride and based on other olefin in some case, where the total of pts.mass of a) and b) is 100. The molding material is processed into a molded member having improved thermal aging resistance.
