To provide a monitoring control apparatus, capable of balancing reduction of power consumption in a waiting state and reduction in the time required for restoration from the waiting condition to a normal condition.
The apparatus has a unit body A including a screen display section 1; an operation input section 2; a control section 3 for carrying out load control according to an operation input of the operation input section 2 and screen-displaying according to a load condition; a communication circuit section 4 for transmitting a communication command, regarding a plurality of loads as a monitoring control target; and a human body detecting section 5 for detecting whether a human body exists within an arbitrary range. The control section 3 effects the transition from a normal condition to a state of a first waiting state in which power supply to the screen display section 1 is broken, according to the presence or the absence of input to the operation input section 2 and to the presence or the absence of human body detection at the human body detecting section 5, a second waiting state in which power supply to the screen display section 1 is broken and thereby own operation processing rate is set to be reduced, and a third waiting state in which power supply to the screen display section 1 is broken and only an interrupt processing in the human body detecting section 5 is accepted.
