Abstract:
To provide a monitoring device capable of quickly transmitting monitoring information when a communication failure is caused.
The monitoring device 12 has a UDP (User Datagram Protocol) communication means 50 for performing communication according to a UDP and an ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) communication means 52 for performing communication according to an ICMP. The monitoring device 12 transmits the acquired monitoring information by using the UDP communication means 50. When it is judged that transmission of the monitoring information by the UDP communication means 50 is at an impossible state, the monitoring device 12 transmits the monitoring information by using the ICMP communication means 52.
