Abstract:
To provide a monolithic white color light emitting device having a structure further simplified such that the manufacture is easy.
The light emitting device is provided with a passive layer 2 that radiates light of a long wavelength by a wavelength conversion, separately of an active layer 4. The white color light is realized by properly adjusting the lights from the active layer 4 and the passive layer 2. The monolithic white color light emitting device like this is easily prepared at a low cost. In addition, it has broader application fields than those of a white color light emitting device with a help of the existing phosphor.
