Abstract:

To provide a motion picture print film having improved laser subtitling performance when marked by means of a laser beam.

The motion picture film element comprises a support having a subbing layer unit and one or more image forming units including at least one light-sensitive halide emulsion layer coated over the subbing layer, and both are disposed on a front side of the support. The layers coated on the front side of the support include 5-30 mg/m2 of dispersed carbon particles in total. The majority of the particles is included in the emulsion layer or layers of the one or more image forming units or an intercoat layer which may be present between two emulsion layers.
