Abstract:

To provide a high speed and high response position-sensorless controller utilizing an arithmetic unit, such as a microcomputer.

This motor controller comprises an AC motor 1, a PWM inverter for applying voltage to the AC motor 1 and a controller 4 for controlling the PWM inverter with the PWM signal. Moreover, the controller 4 comprises a first arithmetic unit 5, including a current controlling means for controlling the current of the AC motor 1 and a second arithmetic unit 6 which includes a magnetic pole detecting means for detecting rotor magnetic pole position of the AC motor, which becomes the reference position of the current control means.
