To provide a motor for elevators wherein the installation workability is enhanced; even when the large load of an object to be elevated is applied, the rotating shaft of its rotor can sufficiently endure; the rotor can be rotated at high speed and electricity can be saved on; and heat transmitted to or produced in the bearings of bearing members can be blocked or absorbed by a rational construction.
The motor for elevators includes: a mounting base plate; the main body of the commutatorless direct-current motor secured on the base plate; a set of the bearing members secured on the base plate opposite to each other so that they are positioned on the left and right of the main body of the motor; the rotor of the motor main body horizontally and rotatably supported on the bearing members; a detecting means that is provided in the main body of the motor and detects the rotation position angle of the rotor; and a control board that is fixedly provided on the base plate and controls a switching circuit based on detection signals from the detecting means.
