To provide a mounting structure for a battery capable of protecting the battery even when a load is applied to a plurality of split bodies constituting a battery cover.
A battery cover 1 is constituted by a front side split body 3, a center side split body 5 and a rear side split body 7. End parts of a pair of the split bodies adjacent to each other out of the plurality of these split bodies are formed into engaging parts 21, 29, 31, 45 each of which has a substantially U-shaped cross section, and are engaged with each other. As a result, since engagement with the adjacent other split body is not easily released when an impact load is applied to one of the pair of the split bodies, the one of the pair of the split bodies can be prevented from being deformed and the battery housed inside can be surely protected.
