Title:
MOVING VECTOR DETECTING CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2614574
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a moving vector detecting circuit in which the number of bits of a correlation value memory used for a cumulative adding circuit can be decreased.
CONSTITUTION: A digital video signal inputted to an input terminal 1 is supplied to a representative point memory 2 and a correlation value arithmetic circuit 3. The digital data corresponding to the luminance level of each representative point are preserved in the representative point memory 2. A correlation value arithmetic circuit 9 calculates the correlation of luminances between the representative point and each shift corresponding to the representative point in a detection area, the 11-bit output is supplied to a mean value calculating circuit 6, and the output reduced to 10-bit by a maximum value fixing circuit is supplied to a cumulative adding circuit 10 including a 10-bit correlation value memory. Also, a moving vector is specified from the minimum value and minimum position of a correlation accumulated value detected by the output of the cumulative adding circuit, and the output of the mean value calculating circuit 6.
