Abstract:
To provide a Wankel type engine that prevents leakage of compression gas, leakage of intake gas and contamination of exhaust gas and increases engine output.SOLUTION: A multi-apex type Wankel engine includes a plurality of apexes 12, 13 to block respective ports 10, 11. In order to use the plurality of apexes 12, 13, a rotor is required to have rounded tips. Making the Reuleaux triangle of the rotor, which is the current curve, an outer envelope curve rounds the tips. Making a housing an outer envelope curve can fit the rotor thereto and the round type rotor rotates while the tips thereof come into contact with the housing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
