Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to bring a loom to a high speed by reducing an opening amount for warp yarns a reed stroke and a moving amount of nozzle, in a multi-color weft insertion loom equipped with >=3 weft insertion nozzles. SOLUTION: This device comprises a first weft insertion means 24 equipped with >=2 weft insertion nozzles 22a-22b and a second weft insertion means 26 equipped with >=1 weft insertion nozzles. At least the first weft insertion device 24 is further installed with a driving means which selectively transfers >=2 nozzles to a common weft insertion position. One of the nozzles 22a-22b of the first weft insertion means 24 placed at the common weft insertion position is transferred to another position and the other one of weft insertion nozzles 22a-22b is instead transferred to the common weft insertion position. Thus, the opening amount for warp yarns or the amount of the reed stroke and the moving amount of the weft insertion nozzles 22a-22b can be made small.
