Abstract:
To provide a multi-layer coating film forming method by which a metallic coating film with a wide highlight metallic gloss can be formed on a coated object of a shape which has a larger flat surface part.SOLUTION: A forming method of a multi-layer coating film includes: (1) a process of forming a base coating film by coating a coated object with a base coating material (X); (2) a process of forming a bright coating film by coating the base coating film formed in the process (1) with a bright coating material (Y) containing an aluminum flake pigment (A); (3) a process of forming a clear coating film by coating the bright coating film formed in the process (2) with a clear coating material (Z); and (4) a process of simultaneously curing the coating films formed in the processes (1)-(3) by heating. Solid concentration of the bright coating material (Y) is 0.1-20 mass%. The bright coating film is 0.02-5 μm as a dry film thickness. Light transmittance is 0.5-30%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
