To provide a multi-row planting transplanter capable of increasing planting work efficiency and simplifying machine configuration, requiring neither complex planting row control operation with a row clutch or the like nor complex seedling supply based on individual row base seedling amount tending, and to provide a method for planting with the multi-row planting transplanter.
The multi-row planting transplanter is formed to travel multi-row planting on a field width B of a planting range from one end by a predetermined interrow space up to the predetermined row number, and has a recognizing means recognizing the field width B and a calculating means calculating a pitch D between reciprocating planting travels to be able to plant all over the field width B a raw number of an integral multiple of the planting raw number based on width of non-planted part less than a planting travel.
