Title:
MULTICONDUCTOR TRANSMISSION LINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3171498
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively prevent the occurrence of corona noise by preventing spacers which support the subline conductor of a transmission line from generating heat and, at the same time, relieving the potential gradient between the main line conductors and subline conductor of the transmission line.
CONSTITUTION: A subline conductor 14 of this transmission line can be maintained at the same potential as those at the main line conductors 12A and 12B of the transmission line on the ground-side, since the subline conductor 14 is supported by the main line conductors 12A and 12B through conductive spacers 16A, 16B, and 16C. Therefore, the surface potential gradients between the main line conductors 12A and 12B decrease and the occurrence of corona noise can be effective reduced. In addition, since the impedance of the subline conductor 14 is increased due to the reactance of a current transformer 20 installed to the subline conductor 14, the current separated to the subline conductor 14 from the main line conductors 12A and 12B can be suppressed. Therefore, the conductive spacers 16A, 16B, and 16C can be effectively prevented from generating heat.
