Abstract:
To provide a multilayered structure for electron emission reducing a work function over a conventional limit by restraining development of deliquescence of alkali metal without requiring a special material such as a carbon nanotube.
This multilayered structure 1 is furnished with an alkali metal layer 3 of at least one atomic layer constituted by substituting a metal atom on a surface by an alkali metal atom on the surface of a metallic oxide substrate 2 or constituted by bearing the alkali metal atom on the surface.
