Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [X1 is halogen; X2 is H or halogen; Y1 is H or halogen; Y2 is CH2OR1 (R1 is acetyl or alkyl), group of formula II (R2 is alkyl), etc.; A is pyridyl or pyrimidinyl which may be substituted with halogen or trifluoromethyl].

EXAMPLE: N-(2-chlorobenzoyl)-N'-[4-(5-trifluoromethyl-2-pyridyloxy)-3-methylthi ophenyl]urea.

USE: Insecticide effective in controlling various harmful insects.

PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting a benzoylisocyanate compound of formula II with an aniline compound of formula III in a solvent such as dimethyl sulfoxide at 0W120°C for 0.1W24hr.
