Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: The compd. of formula I [R1 is H, 1 to 6C alkyl or acetyl; R2 is halogen; R3 is formulas II or III (R5 is H, phenyl, phenyl or nonaromatic cyclic ether; (n) is 2, 3); R4 is 3 to 6C cycloalkyl, cyclohexenyl, 1 to 6C alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, tetrahydrofuryl, 1,3-dioxolanyl or phenoxy, (m) is 0 to 4; when (m) is 0, R4 is 3 to 6C cycloalkyl or tetrahydrofuryl], its salts, quaternary ammonium salts and N-oxides.
EXAMPLE: N-(1-azacyclo[2,2,2]octy-3-yl)-2-cycloropropylmethoxy-4-amino-5-chloro- benzamide.
USE: An antiemetic agent. Has no antidopamin side-effect.
PROCESS: The benzoic acid (reactive deriv.) of formula IV is brought into reaction with the amine of formula R3NH2.
