Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable effective blocking of damage to a seal member by arranging a rod member and first and second closing mechanisms to inspect the airtightness between a cylinder body and an insertion hole part easily and accurately with a simple construction
CONSTITUTION: The inside of an insertion hole part 14 is sealed airtight through a first closing mechanism 22 provided at an end part on the insertion side of a rod member 18. On the other hand, the outer circumferential surface on the opening side of a cylinder body 16 is sealed airtight through a second closing mechanism 26 provided on the outer circumference part of the member 18, which allows the detection of the airtightness between the cylinder body 16 and the insertion hole part 14 easily and at a high accuracy. As first and second closing devices 22 and 26 are driven simply by moving the member 18 relatively toward work 12, the inside of the cylinder body 16 can be held airtight simply and quickly with first and second seal members 20 and 24. The seal members 20 and 24 are deformed forcibly to seal and caused to open thereby enabling the prevention of damage to the seal members 20 and 24 in the advancing or retraction of the member 18.
