Abstract:
PURPOSE: To control from the outside an operation of a light source unit of the endoscope system for executing a color image pickup by a face sequential system.
CONSTITUTION: In the endoscope system consisting of an electronic endoscope 20 having a CCD in the tip part, and a light source unit 12 which is connected to the electronic endoscope and allows an illuminating light of R, G and B to be made incident successively on the electronic endoscope, the light source unit 12 is provided with a synchronizing signal input terminal 60 for inputting a synchronizing signal supplied from the outside, and a speed control circuit 48 for controlling a rotation of a rotary filter 44 for switching successively the illuminating light of R, G and B, based on the synchronizing signal inputted to the input terminal 60.
