Title:
NAPPED ACRYLIC FIBER FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0450343
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject new fabric having soft, rustling and dry touch by napping specific acrylic fiber and further dividing the tips of the aforementioned naps into plural fine fibers.

CONSTITUTION: The objective fabric is obtained by napping the surface of a knitted fabric, etc., composed of only acrylic fiber with many openings having a nonspecific shape in the cross section and the respective openings forming streaky voids with ≥60μ length nearly parallel to the longitudinal direction of the aforementioned fiber in the fiber or mixed yarn thereof with other fibers and further subjecting the naps to dividing treatment. The aforementioned acrylic fiber is prepared by dissolving an acrylic polymer composed of a polymer of ≥60wt.% acrylonitrile and ≤40wt.% ethylenic monomer copolymerizable with the abovementioned acrylonitrile, etc., in a solvent such as dimethylformamide and adding a polyalkylene glycol having preferably 10000-20000 number-average molecular weight in the resultant spinning solution, aging the spinning solution for ≥4hr (preferably 6-10hr), passing the aged solution through a spinneret and extruding the solution into a coagulating medium.
