To provide a negative electrode plate for a lead-acid storage battery which can improve the high rate discharge characteristics by suppressing pore blockage of a negative electrode active material or reduction of reaction area causing voltage drop during high rate discharge, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor and a lead-acid storage battery.
A negative electrode filling plate produced by filling a lead alloy substrate, containing lead as a main component, with a paste active material is subjected to aging under any one of the following conditions (a)-(c). (a) Moisture content before aging is 7.0-8.0%, temperature is 50-60°C, humidity is 80% or higher, (b) moisture content before aging is 7.0-10.5%, temperature is 60-70°C, humidity is 80% or higher, (c) moisture content before aging is 9.0-10.5%, temperature is 70-80°C, humidity is 80% or higher. Thereafter, it is dried so that the BET specific surface area of a negative electrode active material after formation is 0.5-1.1 m2/g, and the average pore diameter is 3.0-6.5 μm.
