Abstract:
To provide 5-fluoro-1,2-oxathiolane 2,2-dioxide expected to be used for an electrolyte solvent and additive for a lithium ion secondary battery, an intermediate for a functional material, an intermediate for a medicine, an organic solvent and the like, and to provide a method for producing the compound.
The 5-fluoro-1,2-oxathiolane 2,2-dioxide is represented by formula 1. The method for producing the 5-fluoro-1,2-oxathiolane 2,2-dioxide includes subjecting a compound of formula 2 to electrolytic fluorination.
