Abstract:

To provide a new composition comprising a polysuccinimide useful as a dispersant and an adhesion inhibitor in a lubricant and a hydrocarbon fuel, and to provide an aftertreatment derivative thereof.

A method for reacting a mixture under reactive conditions is provided, which mixture comprises a first copolymer comprising a first unsaturated acidic reagent and a 1,1-disubstituted olefin, a second unsaturated acidic reagent, a 1-olefin, a second copolymer and a polyamine, wherein the first unsaturated acidic reagent and the second unsaturated acidic reagent can be the same or different and the mixture contains from 0.1 to 1.5 equivalents of polyamine per equivalent of acidic groups of the first and second copolymers.
