Abstract:

To provide a new protein.

The invention provides a human-derived protein containing an amino acid sequence same or essentially same as a specific amino acid sequence or its salt, a DNA encoding the protein, a drug containing the protein or the DNA, a method for the screening of a compound having activity to promote or inhibit the peptidase activity of the protein, etc. The protein of the present invention and the DNA encoding the protein can be used for the treatment and prevention of diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disease. The cell capable of expressing the protein of the present invention or the gene of the protein is useful as a material for the screening of a compound or its salt having an activity to promote or inhibit the peptidase activity of the protein of the present invention.
