Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relax stress in the screwed part between a socket and a nipple, and absorb thermal expansion difference to prevent the longitudinal and lateral breakage of an electrode by forming a groove on the circular end surface of the nipple facing the bottom of the socket, and forming a standing circumferential wall surface with the groove and the nipple end side surface.
SOLUTION: A groove 5 is formed in the outer circumferential part on a circular end surface of a nipple 3 facing the bottom surface 2A of a socket 2. A standing circumferential wall surface 4 is formed between the groove 5 and the end side surface 6 of the nipple 3. Stress of the screwed part between the socket 2 and the nipple 3 is relaxed, and the thermal expansion difference between an electrode 1 and the nipple 3 is absorbed to prevent break in an electrode connecting part. The end surface thickness (t) in the circumferential wall surface 4 is made 1% or more of the diameter of a circular end surface 3A to prevent the breakage in the standing part, and made less than 30% to prevent the longitudinal breakage and lateral breakage of the electrode 1. The end surface thickness (t) is specified to 1-30% of the diameter of the circular end surface 3A.
