Abstract:
PURPOSE: To display sufficient noise cancellation effect by improving the coefficient convergence characteristic of an adaptive filter.
CONSTITUTION: An adaptive signal processing part 14a determines the coefficient of the adaptive filter 14b by performing adaptive signal processing so as to cancel a noise at a noise cancellation point by using the composite sound signal of the noise at the noise cancellation point and a canceling sound and the reference signal inputted through a frequency characteristic correction part 14e, and the adaptive filter filtrates the output signal of the frequency correction part 14e corresponding to the coefficient and inputs the resulting signal to a speaker 16. In this case, the frequency correction part 14e has frequency characteristics of a canceling sound propagation system 18 and frequency characteristics which are almost symmetrically about a 0dB line, so the total frequency characteristics of the frequency characteristic correction part and canceling sound propagation system become nearly flat and the coefficient convergence characteristics of the adaptive filter by the adaptive signal processing are improved to display sufficient noise cancellation effect.
