Title:
NOISE SHAPING CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3225644
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of hunting phenomenon based upon a limit cycle by detecting that an input signal becomes a DC value (including '0') and setting up a value fed back to a quantizer to '0'.
CONSTITUTION: An input signal from an input terminal 11 is sent to a DC detector 17 and whether the input signal is a DC value including '0' or not is detected. When the input signal is a DC value including '0', all coefficeint values outputted from a noise filter 16 are controlled by a control signal outputted from a DC detector 17 so as to be switched to '0', so that a feedback value from the filter 16 to an adder (subtractor) 12 becomes '0'. When noise feedback value to a requantizer 13 becomes '0', an n-bit input signal from an input terminal 11 is extracted from an output terminal 14 after executing only cut-back to m bits. Consequently the occurrence of a hunting phenomenon can be prevented.
