Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and certainly check the quality of a work.
SOLUTION: A focal point F of ultrasonic waves with specific frequency is moved so as to reach a desired depth from the surface 2 of a work and the waveform of a reflected ultrasonic pulse (hereinafter referred to as a reflected wave) is measured. Then, the number of peak signals of a waveform is counted. At this time, a threshold value is set to the level of the ultrasonic pulses reflected from the work and the count of the number of peak signals is divided inside and outside the threshold value. Then, the number of the measured peak signals is totalized. The position of an enclosure 13 is grasped from the peak signal related to the region B outside the threshold value in the distribution pattern to a propagation time T. The state of an internal structure is grasped from the distribution pattern of the number of peak signals related to the region A inside the threshold value.
