PURPOSE: A noodle band is incised so that individual lines are almost cut off to give a connected noodle lines which are easily handleable, easy to be cut off in an equal weight and can be separated into individual lines by rolling after boiling or steaming and frying.
CONSTITUTION: A noodle band 7 is passed through a between cutting rollers 1, 2 which have slight gaps between edge and edge to form connected lines 4 in which lines are almost split. Then, the connected lines 4 are sent to the steamer, boiling kettle or frying pan 3 to effect uniform steaming, boiling or frying, then accurately cut with the cutter 5 in a prescribed amount and rolled in a washing tank 6 with a line-loosening roller to separate noodles into individual lines 8. When rolled noodles are produced, the connected noodle lines 4 are washed with water in the tank 6 without passing through the loosenig roller and laver sheets are laid under the lines and the sheet is rolled up together with the connected lines.
