Abstract:

To provide a norbornene polymer film whose retardation has reverse wavelength dispersion characteristics.

The film is comprised of a norbornene polymer containing a recurring unit represented by general formula (I). In the formula, R1 and R2 are each a hydrogen atom, an optionally substituted alkyl group or an optionally substituted aryl group; L and L' are each a bivalent linking group or a single bond; and A and A' are each an aromatic group.
