Abstract:
PURPOSE: To correctly form notches on a belt and prevent the defective pitch of the notches by installing the belt at the groove-like section of a belt holder, bringing the belt into contact with a belt pressing member, inserting a cutter edge into the through hole of the belt holder, and moving the cutter edge along a guide plate.
CONSTITUTION: A belt 4 is drawn from a belt hold section, bound on the pulley of a belt delivering mechanism once, set into the groove-like section 22 of a belt holder 17, and coupled with a pitch feed mechanism. The belt 4 set into the groove-like section 22 of the belt holder 17 is brought into contact with a belt pressing member 18. A moving means is operated to insert a cutter edge 19 into a through hole 24 and into a guide plate 23. The cutter edge 19 is moved in this state, and notches are formed on the belt 4. The cut scrap rubber is stuck in the cutter edge 19, and it is removed when the cutter edge 19 is retreated.
