Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a novel crystal of hydroxyaluminum phthalocyanine, a photoconductive material comprising the crystal and having high sensitivity and durability, and an electrophotographic photoreceptor containing the photoconductive material.

CONSTITUTION: A novel crystal of hydroxyaluminum phthalocyanine which gives an X-ray diffraction spectrum having distinct diffraction peaks at Bragg angles (2θ±0.2) of 8.0°, 8.4°, 14.6°, 17.2°, 25.6°, 26.0°, and 27.8°; a photoconductive material comprising the crystal and having high sensitivity and durability; and an electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising a support and the crystal provided thereon.
