Abstract:
To provide a fluorescent dye which is specific to lipid droplets and enables fluorescent staining with high sensitivity, while having no cytotoxicity but high intracellular retentivity, and which is applicable to kinetics observation, and a method for imaging intracellular lipid droplets.SOLUTION: The present invention employs a fluorescent dye represented by general formula (I) or (II).
