PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel glycolurils, production methods thereof, and use methods thereof such as an epoxy resin composition for encapsulation of a ball grid array semiconductor, an epoxy resin composition for encapsulation of an optical semiconductor element, an epoxy resin composition for encapsulation of a semiconductor to be used as an underfill, an epoxy resin composition for forming a resist underlay film for lithography, a silicone resin composition for an optical device, or the like.SOLUTION: The present invention provides allyl/glycidyl glycolurils represented by formula (I), synthesis methods thereof, and compositions comprising the glycolurils. In the formula, Rand Reach independently represent H, a lower alkyl group or a phenyl group; and Rand Reach independently represent an allyl group or a glycidyl group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
