Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:Dichloro-3,4-diamino-3,4-dideoxy-L-xylopyranose platinum and dichloro-2,4-diamino-2,4-dideoxy-L-arabinopyranose platinum expressed by formula I and II.
USE: An antitumor agent.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula I or II can be produced by adding and reacting an aqueous solution of potassium tetrachloro-platoate (K2PtCl4) to an aqueous solution of 3,4-diamino-3,4-dideoxy-L-xylopyranose of formula III or 2,4-diamino-2,4-dideoxy-L-arabinopyranose of formula IV. The compounds of formula III and IV used as starting substances are novel substances and produced from arabinopyranose of formula V by epoxidization, ammonolysis and reduction.
