Abstract:

To provide a UV absorber exhibiting an effect of shielding UV even in a long wavelength range and having light resistance, and a resin composition comprising the same.

The compound is represented by formula (1) [in the formula, R1a, R1c and R1e each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent excluding OH, provided that at least one of the substituents represents a substituent of a σp value of the Hammett's rule of 0.3 or greater; and R1b and R1d each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent excluding OH, provided that the substituents may bind to each other to form a ring].
