Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce and keep a gap between a cooling roll and a nozzle hole part surface at the position of the nozzle hole part set before preheating, even after preheating and during casting with high accuracy by arranging thin thickness parts having a thickness which is not larger than a specified value at both end parts of the nozzle apart from the nozzle hole part on the slit axis of the nozzle hole part formed as the slit state.
SOLUTION: A slit state nozzle hole part 9 is bored at the tip part of the nozzle 3 and at both end parts from the nozzle hole part 9 on a slit axis 10 of the nozzle hole part 9, the thin thickness parts 12 having 5 mm or smaller thickness(t) are arranged. Thereat, the slit axis 10 is the center line of the nozzle hole part 9 formed as the slit state. The thin thickness part 12 is formed with the slit axis 10 as the center line. By the thickness(t) of the thin thickness part 12 is meant the thickness at the tip part of the thin thickness part 12. Then, the development of slit-state or hole-state defect on the cast strip or such troubles as cutting the strip can be eliminated, even in the small range of a gap further by forming the thickness of the hole part to be 5 mm or smaller.
